Case Histories > Early Ohio - Close-Up

Wooden Bowl

This bowl is a handmade reproduction of an early wooden bowl. Because early settlers had to choose what belongings to bring to Ohio by wagon or boat, they could only transport things that would fit in their limited space and were sturdy enough to make the trip. Bowls could be made from available natural resources.
