Education Resource Center
from
the Ohio Historical Society
The Ohio Historical Society has gathered in one place hundreds of tools to make your
Ohio history and
statehood studies easy and enjoyable.
This convenient, user-friendly facility is located adjacent to the classrooms at the Ohio Historical
Center. The resource center houses materials on more than 30 major subjects areas, ranging from Ohio's
prehistoric Indians to aviation. Hundreds of files hold maps, articles, images, handouts, lesson
plans, and other materials, as well as information on OHS-operated historical sites.
Many materials are available for loan, and inexpensive copies can be made of other materials.
Periodicals, posters, and assistance from friendly attendants are additional features that make your
trip to the facility rewarding. Teachers may use the center without charge. You can email
mdavis@ohiohistory.org or
call 1-800-850-3245 to discuss what options are available.
In addition, educators may e-mail the center for inquiries on specific Ohio history topics.
They also
may access loan materials from the center.
