There is a twenty-two minute introductory video, which uses maps, pictures and live-action re-enactors to record the history of the site and place it within the history of the Revolutionary War in the West. The program length is about one hour.

Group size: Forty-four or less in a group; up to five groups can tour at one time.
Groups will be divided into areas including, video, exhibits, viewing fort outline, lunch and games (provided by your school).

The self-guided tour focuses on the history of the fort and of the Revolutionary War. The museum docents can answer questions.

The following tours/programs have condensed files that include links, content standards and other resources.

Self-Guided Tour: Fort Laurens Museum and Grounds (September and May) (151 k)
Students can tour Fort Laurens museum and learn Ohio's only Revolutionary Fort. It was used to defend against the British in 1778-9. They can then visit the grounds to discover the outline of the fort remains. Groups of 40 or more students will be divided.
