There is a twenty-two minute introductory video, which uses maps, pictures and live-action re-enactors
to record the history of the site and place it within the history of the Revolutionary War in the
West. The program length is about one hour.
Group size: Forty-four or less in a group; up to five groups can tour at one time.
Groups will be
divided into areas including, video, exhibits, viewing fort outline, lunch and games (provided by your
school).
The self-guided tour focuses on the history of the fort and of the Revolutionary War. The museum
docents can answer questions.

content standards and other resources.

Self-Guided Tour: Fort Laurens Museum and Grounds (September and May) ( 151 k)
Students can tour Fort Laurens museum and learn Ohio's only Revolutionary Fort. It was used to defend
against the British in 1778-9. They can then visit the grounds to discover the outline of the fort
remains. Groups of 40 or more students will be divided.
