Ohio Village

Print Form (Adobe Acrobat PDF) NOTE: Requires Adobe Acrobat ® Reader.

The Ohio Village is on the grounds of the Ohio Historical Society complex. The Ohio Village is a reproduction of a small Ohio community during the 1800s. The buildings form the commercial, social, and political core of a town and they represent several architectural styles of Ohio's history. The furnishings, items, and tools in the various buildings used by the Ohio Village interpreters are either original pieces or carefully researched reproductions. The buildings and streets form a physical background for the presentation of the economic, social, and political life in Ohio during the 1800s.
