As you plan your visit to Adena, a consideration of the objectives of the learning
experience will make the trip more beneficial for your students and more enjoyable for you as the
teacher. Adena offers an outstanding opportunity for the study of certain topics in the social
studies curriculum with specific learning objectives. In particular, the cultural, social, economic
and political development of Ohio can be studied in an informative and interesting manner. Grade
levels 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 8 will find opportunities under the new state model curriculum to explore
particular grade level indicators suggested at that grade level. Examine the list below and select the
programs that will best meet the instructional objectives you have in mind for your students. Be sure
to schedule that program when you schedule your visit so that your students will be guaranteed the
opportunity to take advantage of that program
