Facilities Information
Chaperones: One adult per 15 students.
The buildings are not handicap accessible.
There are two nature trails, one of which runs along the abandoned ore pits and roads once used by Buckeye Furnace laborers. Trails are not wheelchair accessible.
Restrooms are available during open hours.
As students will be outdoors during part of their experience, we suggest they dress appropriately for the weather.
There is a picnic area 1/4 mile northeast of the site at the intersection of TR 167 and CR 58.

Museum Shop on site
The Company Store serves as the Visitor Center and Gift Shop.

Hours of Operation
Park Hours: Year-round, daylight hours
Museum Hours: April through Memorial Day weekend.
Groups anytime by appointment by calling 740-384-3537.

Admission
Donations to the Ohio Historical Society are accepted.

Buckeye Furnace is located in eastern Jackson County.
123 Buckeye Park Road
Wellston, Ohio 45629

From Jackson, go 10 miles east on SR 124, 2.2 miles south to CR 58 (Buckeye Furnace Road), turn right onto TR 167 (Buckeye Park Road) and go .1 mile.
