Guided Tour: National Road/Zane Grey Museum (September, October, April, and May) ( 244 k)
Following an orientation video, students will learn how the National Road was built and how it evolved
through the next 100 years. This story is placed in a broader context to show students how changing
modes of transportation affected business, families, and the nations growth. Groups of 60 or more
students will be divided.
Program: Paving the Way West (September, October, April, and May) ( 1,004 k)
Students learn the history of the National Road and then are divided to participate in a construction
of the National Road of stone materials or brick materials. After completion, they will return to the
classroom to recap the experience.
Program: National Road Puzzle ( 420 k)
Students are challenged to find out how much they know about the National Road construction and its
use through time.
