> Pre-Historic Times in Ohio
The following programs focus on the pre-historic times in Ohio up to
about 1550 CE (or AD). Each program has been designed with the new
Social Studies Academic Content Standards in mind. These programs are
produced at the Ohio Historical Center using actual artifacts, video
streaming, remote cameras, blue-screen projections, and theatrical sets
among the innovative techniques used to make pre-history come alive for
all students.
The fee for each of these programs is $50.00 for each in-state program
and $125.00 for connections out-of-state. Advance registrations are
required and may be made by contacting the Scheduling Offices at the
Ohio Historical Center at 614.297.2663 or 800.850.3245.

Program: The Moundbuilders (September through May) ( 122 k)
Through archaeological research, the building of the mounds is credited
to the Adena and Hopewell cultures. Students will interact with the
presenter to discover the transition from a hunting and gathering
society to a more complex agricultural, trade, and mound building
society. Actual artifacts will be used during this broadcast.
