> Science and Nature Skills
The following program focuses on the importance of science in our lives.
Science and Nature touch each of our lives. We can accept it, use it,
or abuse it with varying results. Scientist and naturalists help us to
understand these disciplines. Each program has been designed with the
new Science and Social Studies Academic Content Standards in mind. These
programs are produced at the Ohio Historical Center using actual natural
sites, artifacts, video streaming, remote cameras, blue-screen
projections, and theatrical sets among the innovative techniques connect
sources and skills to learning for students.
The fee for each of these programs is $50.00 for each in-state program
and $125.00 for connections out-of-state. Advance registrations are
required and may be made by contacting the Scheduling Offices at the
Ohio Historical Center at 614.297.2663 or 800.850.3245.

Program: Exploring with Dr. Zooki (September through May)

In this natural history program students meet Dr. Zooki, an eccentric
scientist who will take them along as he explores and examines the Ice
Age thousands of years ago. Students will interact with him as they
learn the cause and effect relationship of three Ohio natural landforms
that resulted from the glacier and the sequence of their creation.
