The social skills of sitting down and writing a letter to someone are waning in today's world. This
lesson examines how letters were once anticipated from others.
Write ABC Poetry ( 50 k)
This unique style of writing poetry is attributed to Paul West. The thoughts of the poet are guided
by the sequence of alphabet letters. Students compose their own poems.
Write Acrostic Poetry ( 50 k)
Similar to ABC Poetry, Acrostic poetry uses a word theme then utilizes the first letters of the theme
word(s). Student compose their own poems.
